The Dave Brockie Experience "Diarrhea of a Madman" tour is back! The new tour will be starting in September with a Duke t-shirt for you to buy!
If you're on the east coast, be sure not to miss Dave Brockie's art show at the Sweetwater Restaurant in Richmond, VA from August 12, 2001 until mid-September, 2001. He will be showing work that has spanned 20 years and includes more than just GWAR stuff. His art is reasonably priced to separate you from your hard-earned dollars that you probably lifted from your daddy's wallet anyway.
Here's a list of CONFIRMED sightings, anything else is just a rumor that we started.

GWAR - The New Album
That's right crumb monkeys, the new GWAR album is currently undergoing final mixing. The album should be wrapped up and shipped from Antarctica by the November 22 release date. A world tour will follow. There will be more information to follow of course so stay tuned to the only place that has the most up to date flow of GWAR happenings.
The Dave Brockie Experience (DBX)
The Dave Brockie Experience (DBX) has been heard by many and the experience is quite refreshing amidst a day and time of wanna-be punk rockers, girly glam stars, and that piss-poor "Gangsta" cRap on MTV. Headed by the one and only Oderus Urungus, Dave Brockie, lets loose his lyrics with crossed eyes and a drooling tongue. True, there is no blood sprayed for the masses at these shows, but if you're close enough you're sure to showered by Dave's sweaty persona. He is backed by Balsac the Jaws of Death, Mike Derks, on guitar. Derks plays for the crowd as he is a one man rock-star king on his beloved pink guitar. Jizmak da Gusha, aka Brad Roberts, never misses a beat on drums and never lets his hair get out of line. Be sure to check these guys out anytime they're within 500 miles of your hometown and support GWAR like the slobbering slave you are.
Excerpt from Dave Brockie's Homepage
"[The Dave Brockie Experience] is the name of my new band! I play bass and sing, and I am joined by Mike Derks of GWAR on guitar, and Brad Roberts, also of GWAR, on drums! But that's where any similarity to GWAR ends, except for the fact that we do play some GWAR songs and totally rely on GWAR's reputation in order to get us gigs. Plus we use their equipment and practice space, but hell, we ARE GWAR for gawds sake! It's a sad thing when you have to rip off your own band in order to avoid getting a telemarketing job. But I'll do it, because I have no shame. Anyway, this band has gone by several names and you never know what to expect at a DBX show except that it will be LOUD. If you enjoy the music of Death Piggy, X-Cops, or GWAR, then check out DBX! There are rumors of an album coming out this year, so stand by."
"Its Sleazy" - The New GWAR Video
Now GWAR's latest long-form video, "It's Sleazy," will have you jamming your eyeballs with a butter knife, due to all the sensory overstimulation! Follow GWAR's appearance on their manager's talk show, "It's Sleazy", as they maim, mutilate, and massacre audience members and guests alike. All is not peaches and cum however, as their long lost Scumdog brother Scroda Moon has returned, bringing with him a doomsday prophesy. Can GWAR save the world long enough to destroy it themselves? Or will a crew of pissed-off monsters, including the all-powerful Master, turn them into dog food before they get the chance? Find out this year, when you make your slut mother buy you "It's Sleazy" on video.
The Hellions
Casey Orr, also known as Beefcake The Mighty, has initiated in a side band called "The Hellions". The Hellions are a Texas-based punk band tearing out some new tunes. So if you're into the punk scene and are looking for a great new band to add to your arsenal of music then check them out. Their website contains one MP3 for listening pleasure. Their debut full-length album "Radio Holocaust" has been released on Hello Records.
Slave Pit Studios
The Slave Pit is undergoing some renovations these days. It is being transformed into a recording studio. Metal Blade (requires Flash) label-mates, "Lamb of God" have joined up to record some music. Stay tuned for more information including some new music projects from Slave Pit Studios.
no deal
From the depths of GWAR's Slave Pit comes yet another band, no deal. The band was formed in the winter of 2001 by guitarist Jeremy Smith (sound engineer/tour manager for GWAR and DBX), guitarist Micah Binns (Step Child, Before Falling), and GWAR/DBX drummer Brad "Jizmak da Gusha" Roberts. Songwriting began after the last GWAR tour in 2000 when Jeremy met Micah playing out on the Richmond, VA music scene. Brad joined the band during the February 2001 demo recording sessions at the newly formed Slave Pit Studios, where DBX and the latest GWAR recordings are being done. Vocalist Todd Hall (singer for Rev 9) from Washington, DC joined soon after, adding a diverse dimension of melody and anger as the voice of the band. With a unique style of heavy punk, melodic hardcore, emo and modern metal, in the vein of Helmet, Quicksand, Boy Sets Fire and The Deftones, the band is sure to be one of Richmond, VA's best-kept secrets. Check out the newest MP3 of the demo version of the single, "words for no one" right here at GWAR.net. If you like what you hear, you can get more after the EP is released in the fall of 2001.
"Check out the MP3 and let us know what you think! We've got more songs coming with an even heavier edge for you slam dancers out there. Our music is a bit more serious than you might expect, but I know you guys will dig the new EP. Keep checking GWAR.net for more no deal stuff in the near future. We should have photos up soon on our new website, which is currently being constructed, so hang tight! For more info on no deal, feel free to write to me at [email protected]. Thanks for listening!" - Jeremy Smith
Please keep in mind that Jeremy has no idea when GWAR is going on tour, when they'll be coming back to your town, etc. Don't mail him with that horseshit. He's a slave...just like us webmonkeys. Thank you!
